Embryo biopsy allows for the identification of the embryo’s sex prior to transfer. During the procedure, a small sample of cells is removed from the embryo while it is still in the laboratory, without compromising its viability, and genetically analyzed.
The result precisely determines whether the embryo is male or female, enabling the breeder to make strategic decisions regarding which embryos to transfer.
